DO A LITTLE
RESEARCH
You don't have to be a wedding dress expert, but it's great to know a style, aesthetic, or vision you have for your wedding before dress shopping. We always suggest checking out our Instagram to find specific styles that we will have at our boutique.
BRING YOUR FAV CHEERLEADERS
Bring your fav decision-makers, but remember there is such a thing as too many cooks in the kitchen, or in this case, boutique. Every bride is different. Some make the best decisions at their appointment alone, and others are happiest with their inner circle present.
BE OPEN TO DIFFERENT GOWNS
Yes, it's always helpful to know what you like so we can narrow down the gowns pulled at your dress appointment, but don't be afraid to try on something totally out of the box, as we offer many different designers/styles!
RELAX BETWEEN
APPOINTMENTS
Don’t over do it… although you may be able to do it, don't try to go to every single store in the city in one day. (even though you may have people traveling and time together is limited) Leave space in your schedule to travel between appointments, and, of course, time to celebrate the process!
FORGET
ABOUT SIZING
Wedding dress sizes are vastly different from your everyday sizing, so don't get worked up when you see the number of your wedding dress size. Nearly everyone needs alterations, so the gown you buy will eventually be taken in and perfected to fit you!
HAVE A
BUDGET IN MIND
Before creating your Pinterest Board, remember, if a gown is on a runway or a celebrity, it may be a couture gown with a couture price tag. We can pull inspiration from those designs while staying within budget. Take a look at your wedding budget and set a number you're willing to spend.
COME READY
TO COMMIT
While bridal gown shopping is something you have been dreaming about since watching your first episode of "Say Yes To The Dress", you have a goal to find your dream dress- not just to see how many dresses you can try in one appointment. If a dress is "The One” go for it!
BRING THE CHAMPAGNE
At our boutique, it is always Champagne o'clock. Whether you're solo or with your girl gang, you are more than welcome to try on dresses while sipping some champagne! However, we do not supply it, so make sure you bring your bubbly and glasses.
